Gena Barber

I have always been interested in art and fashion. In fact, I’m known for my tactile engagement with every surface and fabric that I come into contact with. I love the experience of texture. My interest in interior design was peaked after a Career Day presentation in high school. I studied interior design at Bowling Green State University.

After college I became the Creative Director for a design firm where I developed my talents working with finishes, textures, architectural millwork, space planning, color schemes and furniture arrangement. I have enhanced my creative vision and knowledge with extensive European travel; which has exposed me to many wonderful varieties of style, design and product.

I am known for my uncanny ability to read clients and meet their needs. I ultimately aim to create and maintain long lasting client relationships that span the entire design process. I have been featured in a variety of publications, including Robb Report (cover), Pittsburgh Quarterly, American Dream Home and Home. My personal accomplishments include the NAHB-Best American Living Award, Residential & Design Build Excellence Award and NAHB-Region 6 Excellence Award.
